AZUS Asphalts India Private Limited is a Mumbai-based importer and distributor of bitumen. We sell 10,000 to 15,000 MT a month, in bulk and in drums, across grades VG-10 to VG-40, to road contractors and government-linked projects. We have supplied bulk bitumen to Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Indian Oil (IOCL).
We import mainly from Basrah, Iraq, and hold stock at our bulk terminals in Mumbai, Karwar and Mangalore, with more than 15,000 MT of combined capacity. A fleet of over 30 bitumen road tankers takes product from the terminals to our customers.
From Dubai, our UAE company Azus Global FZ-LLC runs shipping, sales and finance, including our owned and chartering tanker fleet.
From kerosene to bitumen carriers

Mr Sharifbhai Bhavanagary introduces kerosene to North Karnataka, in association with Burmah-Shell.

Bitumen trading begins, then expands into imports of bitumen, calcium grease, rubber process oil and base oils.

Bitumen emulsion manufacturing under the KOOL TAR brand, ISO 9001 certified, in grades RS-1, RS-2, MS, SS-1 and SS-2.

Kagal plant
A waste-oil distillation plant is commissioned at Kagal, Maharashtra.

Amafhh Petraxon India
Bulk bitumen imports begin, and a 5,500 MT storage terminal is built at Aversa, near Karwar port.

AZUS Asphalts India
AZUS Asphalts India Pvt Ltd is formed, bringing the group’s bitumen import and distribution business into one company.

Azus Global, UAE
Azus Global FZ-LLC is set up in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone to run shipping, sales and finance from Dubai. The group now has owned and chartering bitumen tankers, with MMB being converted into a bitumen carrier.

Our quality team checks product against IS 73:2013 so customers receive the grade they ordered. Product is tested by Civil Aid in Bengaluru and other recognised laboratories, and test reports are available on request.
